Why Northbound Exists

Too many men struggle in silence. When life gets heavy, the default options don’t always fit. Therapy can feel clinical or out of reach. Traditional recovery groups like AA or NA can feel exclusive if you don’t identify as an addict. Many men are left without a space where they can simply show up, be honest, and find support.

Northbound was created to change that.

We are a men’s group rooted in brotherhood, vulnerability, and growth. A place where men from all walks of life can sit down together, share openly, and strengthen one another. Whether you’re navigating mental health challenges, recovery, family pressures, or just seeking deeper meaning, you belong here.

What Makes Us Different

Inclusive by design. You don’t need to call yourself an addict, alcoholic, or anything else. Labels are optional — honesty is required.
Non-dogmatic. We borrow wisdom from recovery principles, mindfulness, and emotional intelligence, but we’re not tied to any single program, faith, or philosophy.
Free to all. There are no fees or memberships. Meetings are donation-based so anyone can join, regardless of circumstance.
In-person & local. We meet face-to-face in Phoenix, building real human connection in an age of digital isolation.
Peer-led. We are not therapists, doctors, or preachers. We are men walking the path together, learning from each other.

Mission
